Catalyze headed back to San Francisco and The Runway Innovation Hub during the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference last week to showcase the healthcare leaders, innovators and startups from Oregon and Washington. This time we partnered with the Oregon Bioscience Association and brought some of the very best Pacific Northwest food and beverage with us! With wines from Lumos and Johan Vineyards, beer from Deschutes Brewery and Fremont Brewing, cider from 2 Towns, and the World's Best Cheese, how could we go wrong?
Over 250 guests were in attendance, including investors, startups, corporates, healthcare and government leaders. The Deputy Director of Health and Human Services, Eric Hargan, kicked us off and shared how HHS is supporting healthcare innovation.
Ray Costantini, CEO and Co-founder of Bright.md and Sunny Neogi, Chief Growth Officer of KenSci, spoke about their startups and the benefits of being in the Pacific Northwest. We are proud to have these great companies (and many more) in our backyard.
If you missed the event it's not too late to fill out the short survey from sponsor Cambia Grove - they want to hear from you! They are looking to identify common barriers to innovation and the most critical problems faced in healthcare.
Lots of great connections and conversations - we loved the energy at this event and can't wait to host you back in the Pacific Northwest soon! Catalyze is partnering with OHSU to run a Portland Startup Week Health Demo Day (stay tuned...).
